Hi there. We have an 11 weeks old English Cocker Spaniël. She’s not a working cocker. Can we still do some more serious training? I want to train her too some degree but only see training videos for working cockers. How similar are they?

My boy is exactly like this girl. Very animated. Nice to see a dog that acts like mine, focus work took a lot of effort on my part. She also has long legs like mine. My boy is a year now and doing great, thanks to your videos. Field training is going well. Loves retrieving the birds. One thing I did that worked great was teaching my boy to "turn" left and right in circles pretty much from 8 weeks old. When I started back retrieves, he knew the hand signals already and effortlessly turned for the bird in the direction I signaled, no side stepping needed. Happy accident since I had no idea I would be doing back retrieves when I got him.

My garden isn't exactly puppy friendly, I didn't expect to be given a puppy , he started ripping the garden up as soon as he got out there . How do you stop that ,

Our springers are show dogs wouldn’t chase after anything we have rabbits living in the yard dog could care less. They are however the most lovable dogs I have ever had great companions as well. Love you shows.

Hi Chris, thanks for the helpful guidance. I'm looking forward to getting our pup and the training but a little concerned that my kids will undo any good work with introducing bad habits when they go crazy with him. Any advice? I dont want to be a kill joy but want to avoid introducing potential retrieving /obedience problems. Thanks in advance!

Hi Chris,, what a lovely calm puppy,, my Brett is coming on ,, but he takes off and land s in my lap when he returns the dummy ,, he’s extremely fast on his return to me? ,, and with your guidance he’s walking to heel quite good now,, any advice on the over fast return please 🙏 👍🤠

I have all the puppies lined up a put a bowl of food down. I don’t pick the first or last to eat. Usually the best for me is in the middle.

I found Cockers bark more and are a bit territorial. But agree the Springer is easier. I now have a Sprocker which is an eye opener.

if you wanted to greatly increase the views of your videos, you could simply translate them into Italian, through the various applications, you should know that in Italy, there are many people interested in what you are doing, unfortunately however it is very time consuming translate video for video. for you, it would be much easier during the assembly phase, and you would receive a lot of approval

What brand is your overalls

Can you give some insight on how to teach sit to flush? I am trying to get my cocker pup ready for rabbits but fear him getting shot if he chases after the flush

On our 5th WCS, female with bags of attitude and smartest of the lot. She has been whistle trained to come back to us. She is 12 months old and although she will return 90% of the time, she will not come if she is distracted by prey. We leað walk unless we are at a safe location. She began behaving around 10 months old and is slowly improving. Amazing dogs, active yet incredibly loving!

Hello, question here. My 10 week old cocker goes after the retrieve but doesn’t want me to take it from him after he comes back to me. When I take it out of his mouth he goes after my hands and clothes. How do you deal with this or puppy biting in general? Thanks for the videos they are very useful!

Hi Chris. My 16 week cocker pup is reliable out and back, but he nearly always plays with the retrieve and rolls around next to me or tries to play 'tug' - he doesn't want to come up on my lap. He doesn't really have any toys, just a rubber lump for teething, but he definitely picked up a few bad habits at the breeders and I got him at 10 weeks so playing catch up to a degree. Any tips for beginning to encourage him to better delivery? Your videos and puppy pack have been a massive help, thanks

Just brilliant. But realise now I’ve been training some bad things in 😐 We will go out now and reset ….. I’ve been helping him find dummies at too far a distance and making dummy throws more challenging encouraging hunting 😳
